Upper kitchen cabinets with gold frames, above a marble-clad wall.

One workshop · Sylhet

Letting, finishing, and the plaster above it.

The homes and the coving come from the same people. You are not passed from a letting desk to a decorator who has never seen the flat.

  1. 01

    Lettings

    For households looking to rent.

We let apartments in buildings that have just been completed in Sylhet. A viewing is in the flat itself. You see the marble, the kitchen, and whatever coving has already been fixed. If a ceiling is still open, we say so.

  2. 02

    Specification

    Settled before the keys.

Before handover we agree the visible finish: which stone, how the kitchen frames are lined, and whether the ceilings take a plain cornice or a full medallion. Changes are easier while the rooms are still on the tools.

  3. 03

    Bespoke coving

    Quoted from measured drawings.

Design and installation of plaster medallions, cornices, corner scrolls, and running borders. The work can be part of a let, or a commission for a room you already occupy in Sylhet.

  4. 04

    Joinery lining

Seen in the kitchens we photograph.

The kitchens in the current buildings use a metal inlay on door frames and drawer fronts, in a brass-gold finish against white lacquer. The same line can be carried into a wardrobe run if the flat calls for it.

  5. 05

    Aftercare

    On lets from D Apartment.

For the first year after you take a flat, snagging and small repairs are arranged with the people who finished it. Hairline joints in plaster and a door that drops are the sort of thing this covers.
